So I logged into Pinterest this morning and immediately saw a pin about homemade Red Lobster biscuits. It looked easy, and I had all the ingredients, so i asked myself “Why Not??”

This is the link to the original recipe i used, but I changed it a little as I went…. http://www.emilysacra.com/2011/09/recipe-red-lobster-biscuits.html

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup baking or biscuit mix
1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (I personally love the Kraft/Philadelphia cream cheese 3 cheddar)
1/2 cup milk
garlic powder to taste (meaning I don’t measure garlic, in my house there is no such thing as too much garlic)
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning (I love pampered chef’s version)
1/2 teaspoon oregano powder (because that’s what i had on hand)
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt

I preheated my oven to 400°, and I sprayed my cookie sheet with Baker’s Joy.

I mixed the baking mix, cheese, and milk in a bowl, adding the garlic powder to taste, and I sprinkled in some of the italian seasoning as well. I stirred until it was all mixed and sticky. I divided the dough into 6 biscuits (yes they were HUGE) and baked mine for about 12 minutes. They got that nice brown crunch on the edges.

While they were baking I put the butter into a 1/2 cup measuring cup and softened it in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Then I mixed in the garlic salt, italian seasoning and oregano, making a nice little slurry. (And yummy. my DD decided she wanted to eat it)

Once the biscuits were done I took a nice and punched a few holes in the top of each one, and spooned my slurry mix over each biscuit. (In my head the holes made the butter soak in more, I don’t know if that was true or not)

They were immediately gobbled up by my daughters and I, and we decided were are going to make them again tonight for dinner….

I have no reason to ever go to Red Lobster again…..MMMMM
